Hyperactivity and inattention scores of more than 6 on the CPT are considered to be an indication of ADHD. In addition, a Qb-Score greater than 1.5 is recommended as the minimum threshold to diagnose ADHD in healthy populations.

The study found that malingerers over compensate for their incompetences. They also scored lower on visual tasks as well as auditory tasks, leading to lower mean scores for visuals. They could not pass the Auditory Prudence and Visual Focus tests.
