Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which will show an image of the item at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Crests
