Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet arrangement of previous albums and was a more ferocious, constant effort with an edge that was stronger than Hydra. The more experimental sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard skills were also more sophisticated, sharper and less akin to previous efforts.

After touring to promote their album, the group recorded their Amsterdam live performance which was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set entitled Falling In Between. The group released a brand 스포츠토토 new studio album a few months later and then embarked on a tour around the world to promote it. During this period, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.

In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demos and tapes in search of a new album featuring songs that were never recorded before. The group also featured a special guest appearance from singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
