Another thing that could be changed by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes or deciding which stats to boost. Similar to base equipment, it must be done per item, and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats simultaneously.

Item Luck

A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the chances of finding items as well as the properties that appear on loot drops, and the intensity of these properties. It doesn't, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade gear earlier in the game. This is particularly beneficial in early game runs because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade or to prevent players from losing their items if it fails.

When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading the item and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The probability of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%..

The success of an item can be affected by the Luck of that item. Each item has an average success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

Note that item upgrades are rendered above the items in the inventory, so enchantment glint and other effects could be obscured by the overlays.
