These methods offer many advantages, including the reliability and accessibility of EEG signals. However, these measures do have limitations in their sensitivity and accuracy.

A study performed by Aalto University researchers analyzed children's eye movements in the game of virtual reality to determine if the ML algorithm could detect the differences between normal and ADHD children. The results showed that machine learning algorithms can be used to detect ADHD children.

Another study looked at machine learning algorithms' efficacy. The results showed that a random forest method has a higher degree of robustness, as well as higher levels of risk prediction errors. In the same way, a test of permutation showed higher accuracy than randomly assigned labels.
