We had the opportunity to test drive the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway, and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can be used to block wind and road noise while driving on the highway. It glides effortlessly over bumps and ruts. The acceleration is quite quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 provides a large range and can be charged in three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode prioritizes the torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide an unique experience for anyone who has never driven an electric vehicle before.

GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested by Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA compliant.
