Upgrades can sometimes increase the stats of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are made available.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to reroll an item you have acquired like armor, weapon or ring. The item is replaced with another of the same kind and comes with different benefits. The survivors can get tokens to reroll in many ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. After deciding on what to upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost. Once the requirements are satisfied, the user can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item upgrader kit. This will increase the item's level by a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the item's durability. This is an excellent option for players who want to get an edge in battle but don't want strain their wallets. Furthermore players can transfer experience and progress of an upgraded item to new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.

Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be inserted into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to give an additional effect or bonus when the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, acquired through quests, or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones. However, this can cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.

Requirements

For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.

If you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. These include the item type (either Weapon or Armor), the level of the item, the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.

The game will place an item in your inventory when you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show how close you are towards finishing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
