A study carried out by Aalto University researchers analyzed children's eye movements in the game of virtual reality to determine whether an ML algorithm could detect the differences between normal and ADHD children. The results revealed that a machine-learning algorithm can recognize ADHD children.

Another study compared the efficacy of different machine learning algorithms. The results showed that random forest methods are more effective in terms of robustness and lower risk-prediction errors. Permutation tests also showed higher accuracy than labels assigned randomly.
