Path of Exile item upgrading (homepage)

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade their weapons and gear with new affixes that boost its base stats or adding additional perks. To upgrade items, the player must have the item in their inventory, and also access the kiln.

Items with weak bases, such as rings can be upgraded to more robust bases. Items with bases that are strong, such as eth Titans have little changes in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools. They can be used as an attribute bonus or extra effect, while the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, found as loot gathered by enemies or obtained from chests or missions. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level to upgrade.

To upgrade a weapon, armor or other item in the game, players must select it and then click on the Upgrade button in the toolbar. This will show a preview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected upgrade stats will be and also the component or material needed to complete the upgrade.

There are three types of upgrade item components: universal upgrades, prefix upgrades and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, which are made up of gems, are able to be used in any kind of equipment, and offer lower bonuses than upgrade components that are type-restricted. Infusions are jewels that are only available in equipment that is legendary or ascended. They provide the same bonuses as jewels, however they cannot be used in other equipment. Suffix upgrades, which can be placed in gathering tools, include their name at the end of the name of the item they are connected to, for example adding a Glyph to the Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor would change it to a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.

If an individual upgrades a gathering tool and replaces the glyphs with a different one the old one will be returned to their inventory. If you replace another upgrade component, it will be destroyed, with the exception for inscriptions, which can be freely swapped.

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process differs from the previous versions in a few fundamental ways. Gear is now broken down into tracks and items can only be upgraded a certain number of times before they're "leveled out." The costs for upgrading increase with each level, but the materials required for upgrades do not. This lets players focus their efforts on a handful of key items and maximize their impact rather than spreading out the cost of upgrades across several items.

This will enable the item to receive new upgrade components, and have a greater chance of success. This bonus is known as Artisan's Energy. It will reset at 0 if the upgrade fails or increases if the upgrade succeeds.

After a piece has been upgraded to its maximum level, it will be able to receive affixes to boost its attributes. The number of affixes that are available is determined by the item's kind. For instance an uncommon or unique weapon that has a standard base will have only two affixes, whereas a legend armor will have eight affixes.

Each upgrade requires a certain number of Flightstones and crests based on the current level of the item and the slot it's in. Weapons will typically require more Flightstones than other equipment.

If an item upgrader does not attain its maximum level, the NPC offers the player the choice to transfer it to a different character and re-infuse the item with a different set of upgrades. This process can take up to two hours, and costs the same amount of material. However, it has a lower rate of success.

Engineers may employ a level to compare the height of the building against an established location, such as the benchmark. This process is called a "level loop." It involves taking readings using the level and backsight rod before turning the level and making the foresight rod reading. This method ensures that buildings are constructed to the highest level of accuracy and safety.

Rerolling

Rerolling refers to the process of altering an item upgrader mod's upgrade components. It is a crucial aspect of the game and can dramatically enhance an item's strength, damage, or other characteristics. You can do this through the item menu or by pressing the Reroll button when you upgrade an item. Rerolling is costly and should only be used in very rare instances.

Reroll tokens are obtained by recycling upgraded items. These tokens can be used to upgrade either the original item upgrade or a comparable item. Recyclable items come with an indicator that indicates the degree of upgrade. The amount of level that has been filled is based on the rarity and cost of upgrading of the item.

In the past, certain upgrade items were affixed with priority that made them easier to roll for than other. This meant that you would receive the stats that mattered most to your build more often than others. These included things such as the armor's total armor, thorns, and control impaired duration reduction stats or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.

This changed with the recent patch. Priority affixes have been removed and all upgrades will have the same odds of rolling for all stats. This can be a good or a negative thing depending on your requirements and wants from your equipment.

Each upgraded item may come with a bonus that boosts the item's power by a set percentage or flat value. These bonuses are added to normal affixes. The more you improve a product, the greater your chance of obtaining the bonus of a different kind.

The game also comes with several sets, which grant a set bonus when three or more upgraded items from the same set are placed on the same unit. This is a great method to give the character more power without spending a lot of money.

Many players prefer to reroll their equipment and weapons, particularly in the beginning of the game. Rerolling is a method to get a more powerful character faster, allowing you to advance in the game and reach higher tiers.

Sets

Sets are groups of elements that can be arranged in a variety of ways. They could be of various sizes, contain none of the elements, or contain one element. They can be used to organize data or sorting information. They also aid in analyzing patterns. Sets can be classified in various ways such as size and shape.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom provides a wide range of upgradeable set items. Some items are worth upgrading, while others aren't. Upgrades are worth it for armor sets that provide high defense values and set bonuses. However, upgrades to weapons typically do not boost the quality of the item's stats when compared to their counterparts in purple. This makes them less attractive to upgrade when your collection of armor and weapons pieces is already huge.

Some set items are upgraded for their own unique functions that can be useful in some builds. Guillaume's Face face and Aldur's Advance boots are two examples of this. Both were upgraded from Exceptional Winged Helm and Exceptional Mirrored Boots respectively, increasing their defense by 217 to 321 (Strength requirement and Level requirement were increased as well).

Upgrades can also be done to bring certain items to the level of the different tiers. For example the Immortal King set has a wide range of levels, ranging from 29 to 76. Upgrades to lower-level items could improve their defense, and increase their competitiveness in terms of damage.

To determine if an item is worth upgrading, players should click the Upgrade button in the screen for their character. This will display the item's characteristics, as well as the items needed to upgrade it. To upgrade the No-mouth face, for example, 1.1K Scrap Materials will be required, 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards. Players can also verify the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.

In general generally speaking, jewelry and weapons offer more value for trade when they are fully upgraded than armor. Upgrades to gold are recommended for weapons with spell/weapon-damage glyphs. This will result in a significant increase in their performance. This will also boost the defense of armor that has an updated look.
