WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrading Level upgrade - posteezy.com, upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrading that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item level upgrade from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that are used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display the item upgrader kit's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For instance weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was modified a bit, and numerous new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This applies even if the items are from an entirely different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones are reached.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to gear with a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another important modification is that crests have one purpose and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you can locate and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
