10 Inspirational Images Of Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also added to each upgrade.
The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item level upgrade used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up to date.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item upgrades level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.
Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and an issue.
In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. After the player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item upgrader kit level, will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items come from another set of equipment.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. They can choose to use Flightstones which are a general upgrade currency available to all players, or crests, which are more specific and consumed during upgrades at specific levels of items. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to equipment with a certain rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrade upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
Using these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
