WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the item being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using a button, which will show an image of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Item upgraders can be found in many places, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining the latest recipe. The discount on upgrades increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via a variety of means which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with several new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less, even in the event that they belong to a different gear set.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an Item Level Upgrade that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only available for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the Best item upgrader in the proper steps and pathways.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, once an item is at the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. It's Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
