Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to provide an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is used. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, obtained as an incentive, or even created by crafting materials. Alongside providing attribute bonuses, upgrade items can also be cosmetically beneficial.

Infusions, inscriptions, and enhancements are all types of upgrade component. They are generally not available for general use, and they are only available to Ascended equipment or other weapons from the Factions campaign. You can recover infusions and inscriptions from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device, or by salvaging with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool.

Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded even while still connected to the item they are upgrading, and they are able to be used again after being reclaimed. These upgrade items are the Best item upgrader way to improve the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium, as they can increase the likelihood of receiving an upgrade by two times.

Upgrade components can be added to an item, however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and upgraded equipment). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or greater. When you upgrade an existing weapon equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item as it appears in the game (for instance adding an Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only have up to three upgrade items at once.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a useful addition to any item, as they can provide numerous unique advantages and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item upgrades has, which increases the power of the item. These glyphs are obtained by completing the dungeons. Some can even be located in specific World Tier 3 zones. However, it's important to note that glyphs cannot be used on a character who hasn't created an area of root dungeons of the same size.

To use a Glyph you first have to create it with components and then connect them using anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph with components, you can employ a combination of paths and anchors. Then, drag an element in close proximity to a highlighted component to snap it into place.

Some glyphs require certain conditions to be fulfilled for example, 25 Dexterity in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a certain number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which may be a bit difficult to achieve. Certain glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.

Glyphs are able to be applied to a variety of weapons and items, with the exception for those belonging to a particular class. Some of these glyphs have additional conditions, such as an amount of damage to Dexterity or Attack damage for a specific area of the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph has a 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has an opportunity to render the Hero vulnerable for two turns.

Some glyphs can also be applied to restricted use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs can contribute to the Combat Mechanic achievement.

The most commonly used glyphs in the game are the attack glyphs that increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. They are particularly useful for classes that are ranged, such as Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies that hit the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to reroll a result rolled during an Action. They are discarded after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens can be obtained in many ways, like raids and dungeons or through participating in skirmishes. You can also purchase them at the shop, or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials, as they allow players to reroll rewards at the end of the chest.

The values for recycling points are provided for items that are at level 1. When an item upgrader mod is recycled, it will add a specific amount of points to the gauge of upgrade. This value is based on the rarity of the item and its level. In addition the upgraded item won't keep its level when it is rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up depending on the level of the item.

Alternatively, a player can use reroll tokens in order to reroll an upgrade item, but this will not bring the item back to its original level or give it its original stats. This is a great option for those who wish to reroll a piece of equipment that they don't like but still want to keep in their collection.

There are three types of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll random, and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens come in three different levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each level requires an item from the level to create a new item of that quality.

To make use of rerolling tokens you must select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select the type of token you want to use. The tokens available are Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. Using an item upgrading token will result in the creation of a new Item of any quality. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon from the same faction.

The item may be upgraded to a new item that has the same stats but is at a higher level. This will occur when the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or has been transferred to it as part of the Franchise Card.
