WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the Best item upgrader level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item upgrading level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrader kit (over here) used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade items has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which will show an item's preview at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining the latest recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once the player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is true even if the items are from another set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut as well, but is only available after certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific upgrades to the level of an item. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get lower-level gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it brings some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one usage therefore it's essential to use them properly. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount if all slots are full of high-quality equipment.
