Learn To Communicate Item Upgrade To Your Boss
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also increased with every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item upgrade will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that are used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other items. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current item level upgrade (published on crazy.pokuyo.com) level. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrade upgrader available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and an issue.
In Season 3 the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with several new features added. After a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is even if the items come from another set of equipment.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain achievement milestones.
Crests
Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it brings some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another significant modification is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to use them wisely. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best gear you have available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
