If you're looking to save money and don't want a stroller that can double into car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels solid when navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame with a curved fabric bassinet as well as a 6+ month colour pack come together to form a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eye with a subtle yet elegant design and a tasteful branding. The frame's base weight is less than a kilo, and is so light that you can lift it from the box using just one hand.

The hood, as an example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a reassuring way. It is machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps prevent staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who want a versatile stroller wagon. It transforms from a stroller to wagon just by flipping the handle, meaning parents can choose the option they want to use on their trip. The wagon can fit two or more children between 6 months to 5 years old. It has a huge storage basket that can accommodate everything you need while on the go.

The Xplore also has two canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This may not be ideal for long drives or naps.

The frame on the Xplore feels sturdy and solid but it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competition and it doesn't close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also features an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the other strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest of all strollers we tested. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

It took us just under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. It's lacking certain features we consider essential for a double stroller. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to take babies from birth to approximately 3.5 years old, easily changing between a carrycot and seat with a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and reversible carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the bumps of everyday life well and was able to pass through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or allow them to rotate which helps when covering rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we let them swivel and it performed well, though it did appear more bumpy than the other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is simple to use and folds up small enough to fit into a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers we test, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children with shopping bags and other things.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other pram hoods that get turned back into toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's large enough to fit a changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to use a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it stole the hearts of parents all over the world. It's a frame made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's first years and beyond. It's got a few stand-out features including the ability to flip the seat between parent and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy, an eye shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has a suspension system built-in which reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam and reduce punctures. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through tight streets with ease.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It is also able to stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the car's boot or down the stairs at home. It also comes travel system equipped with the ability to add a car seat and a carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are a single pushchairs action and are colour coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and features great dual suspension, one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It is also lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors, which can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't great because it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be set up to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be facing each other or can rotate around to face parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling disputes over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a massive gear tray, bottle holder snack tray, and an adjustable mat. It also has an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great stroller for parents who like to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers you can get for your child. It comes with great safety features like a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It also features a twist hand brake which is different than the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is well-padded and has a wide area to sit in, but the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin comes with an enclosed zipper to help keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds that is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets or infant car seats in the way it is, however you can use it from the beginning by purchasing adapters for most seats by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and is available in multiple languages.
