Greenpower creates and manufactures, as well as distributes an entire range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses and school buses, as cargo buses and shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America compliant. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery setups.

GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and it is able to be adapted to meet a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a clean paper sheet, which allows for optimum positioning of the battery pack and Green Scooter a lower center-of-gravity. This results in better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 design's one interior wall structure and higher insulation levels compared to traditional trucks enable seamless sanitation, improved temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior capacity for cargo, and an industry-leading payload to reach the range of zero-emission transport of passengers or goods.

GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will allow fleets to make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging at 75 kW.

We had the opportunity to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 is a master of reducing the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. The acceleration is quite fast and the car has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully charged within three hours at home, or with any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode focuses on the torque, cruise control and handling, while sport mode increases speed. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide an unique experience for anyone who has never been in an electric vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicles available, such as a multi-purpose, all-electric mini bus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, microtransit and transit vanpools, buses, or paratransit vehicles.

greenpower mobility is already producing around 10 EV Star buses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, Go Green Mobility Scooters which is working to replace their fleet of old diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This means that they are eligible for federal assistance in transit. Stay tuned as we follow the AV Star on its demonstration tour later this year. We will be sure to provide more information on this innovative EV!
