10 Myths Your Boss Has Regarding Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random substat is also added to each upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrader kit used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of Best item upgrader upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using the help of button, which will display a preview of the item upgrades at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Upgraders for items can be found at many locations including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less even when they belong to an entirely different set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
Players have a variety of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. They can choose to use Flightstones which are a general upgrade currency available to everyone, or crests, which are more specialized and are consumed during upgrades at specific item levels. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of equipment being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item upgrader mod (visit the up coming document) like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it does bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
