It Is The History Of Item Upgrade
WoW Upgrades - The Item Level Upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades can give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also added to every upgrade.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.
The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items that can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using an button, which will show a preview of the item when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.
Upgraders for items are available at many locations on the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade are acquired via a variety of means which is both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a certain level of an item upgrading for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will be less expensive, even if they are part of a different gear set.
The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is affixed to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a couple of options. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrade level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that crests are only available for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when an item upgrader kit reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top gear you have available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to make. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount if all slots are filled with high-quality gear.
