WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. The item upgrader mod used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with a The button will display the item's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the Item Level upgrade and current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies.

Upgraders for items can be found in many places, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via several methods which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was modified a bit, and several new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a specific level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will cost less even when they belong to an entirely different set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut also, but is only available after certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item upgrader mod level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be spent on equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item upgrade in the proper steps and routes.

The use of these currencies isn't too difficult however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This is to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one usage, so it's important to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrade equipment available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
