WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item upgrades and the current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades are acquired via a variety of means that are both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This applies even if the items come from another set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrade level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to gear of a certain rank. Each rank comes with a different upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the type or gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item upgrades in the proper steps and paths.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one purpose and it's crucial to make use of them in a responsible manner. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
