However, unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots that we tested the i3+ does not have a feature for avoiding obstacles which means it can get stuck on things such as power cords or socks, and may have issues navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to carpet.

iRobot recommends that you tidy the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or clutter it may encounter. It's also recommended to keep the dust bin and filter clean so that they don't become clogged with dirt. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station, and it automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station’s external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning where it left off. The battery's lifespan is around an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes about three hours to charge.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning session and move around the room and vacuum an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa best roborock vacuum the master bedroom."
