Greenpower develops, builds and distributes a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric heavy and medium-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses, school buses, as well as cargo buses and shuttles.

GreenPower joined forces with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems, which will enable fleets to move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging of 75 kW.

We were able to test drive the EV9 on the local highway for a few hours, and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable to drive over long distances. The ride is smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does an excellent job of suppressing the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. The acceleration is surprisingly quick and the vehicle has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one pedal driving" by lifting off of the accelerator.

The EV9 has a great range and can be fully recharged in just three hours at home or with any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode is a great way to increase the torque, cruise control and handling while sport mode focuses on speed. GreenPower is already producing about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of older diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand.
