World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

The item upgrade feature allows players to increase the item level for weapons that can be equipped or armor. This improves the stats of that gear, as well as sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.

It is crucial to remember that upgrading common gear isn't always worth the cost. Rare and exclusive equipment will soon surpass modernized equipment and magic.

Cost

If a player wants to upgrade an item level upgrade, they have to spend Gold to do so. The cost of upgrading an item depends on its current level and upgrade type selected. Upgrades to weapons are usually less expensive than upgrades to armor, since weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required for upgrading increases as the item is upgraded to the next level.

Upgraded items also come with enhanced stats that can boost its performance in different ways. This could include increasing the power of its attack, critical strike chance, or damage per second. The upgraded item can also give additional bonuses to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades are able to be used to boost a variety of purposes, including to boost the overall strength of a particular or group unit. They can also be a significant influence on the gameplay.

Items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. These NPCs are located in the major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also locate item upgraders in dungeons that have high-level bosses, and by chatting with NPCs in their faction's garrisons.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to improve the quality of weapons, armor and trinkets. This process is very similar to the process of reforging gear in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the currency appropriate to the task players need to visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.

Upgrades can be costly especially for weapons and armor. Depending on the upgrade track each step up in item level can cost several Valorstones and crests. The total cost could be a major burden for players who do not have the funds or aren't willing to grind them.

Fortunately the game allows players to play a reroll of an upgraded item by using a special tool in the items menu. This option allows you to exchange the upgraded item for the level 1 version of it with a different set of bonus effects. This is useful to get better rolls on items that are already upgraded. However, it could also be a waste.

Requirements

The process of upgrading equippable items like armor, weapons and trinkets is to increase the level of the item. This increases their effectiveness and makes them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by spending appropriate currencies at an item upgrader NPC. Players should be aware the fact that some upgrades require special requirements.

Early upgrades only increase the stats of the item's base level. Later upgrades offer more significant increases. For example upgrading a weapon from three to level six can increase the weapon's damage by plus two levels. In addition the upgraded item will receive bonus stats, which is based on the level at which it was purchased. This bonus is a combination of a guaranteed additional substat and a random stat that can change in value from upgrade to upgrade.

Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item upgrading comes with a different set of extra bonuses, as well as a lower item level. The rerolled item also has different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to keep in mind that the rerolled item will not have its original level or even a fraction of its resource.

Rerolling upgraded items is only possible if the item that was upgraded was Epic Rare, Rare, or Unique. Exceptional items can also be rerolled, but the original stats are replaced with a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare item will result in a Normal version of the same kind, while the rerolling of an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same type.

Upgraded items could have additional modifiers that can improve their performance and boost their stats. These additional modifiers don't come with the upgrade cost. You can buy them at the Trading Post, or through other players. They can also be earned by completing specific missions in the game.

To upgrade a piece equipment, you must visit the NPC [Armoror Boboko located in Central Flarine. Depending on the type of item, you will require one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is available from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also need various quantities of Minerals and Erons.

Time

Upgrades to items can be used to improve the performance of your equipment and ship without having to level them. Upgrades aren't cheap but they can be an effective method to boost your stats and not have to spend a lot of time fighting. It's important to know the cost and benefits prior to making the investment of time or money.

Each upgrade increases the item's base stat in a specific amount, and gives a chance to get a bonus substat. The additional substat is randomly assigned and may range from a small increase in one statistic to a larger boost in another. It is best to concentrate on the top-performing items in your slot first, as they'll provide a greater return on your investment.

You can view the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade item if you open your inventory and choose the weapon, ship or accessory. The upgrade window will display the expected completion time and progress. In certain cases, you may be able speed up the upgrade process by applying an Glyph.

It is also possible to retrieve certain or all of the upgrade components from an item using a high-end salvage kit, which is offered by Black Lion Salvage and Ascended Salvage. This is not the case for legendary equipment or upgrades that can be recovered using an upgrade extractor or making a claim with the appropriate Karma retailer.

Take advantage of the benefits

The upgrading of items rewards players with currency and a range of items. Every upgrade has a chance to grant an random stat bonus. The amount of bonus awarded is different for every upgrade, and is generally more expensive for rarer items. Players can use the Great Vault search to see whether an item is upgradeable prior to spending tickets. The search will help determine whether the item is in a certain class and whether the player could benefit from an upgrade.

During the upgrade process, the item will slowly move closer to the next level, but not always reach the full upgrade bar. This process is based on Growthstones and Sollant however there is an 80% chance of getting an upgraded item after just one cycle. The higher the level an item gains the more powerful its stat value will be and the more items can be upgraded.

Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, weapons, or armor to give an attribute bonus or an additional effect, when the equipment is worn. Certain upgrade components come with cosmetic effects. Players can purchase upgrade item components by crafting, buying from vendors, or at the Trading Post, looting, or as a reward. Players can also retrieve upgraded items by using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs, which are stored in gathering tools are able to be swapped out without restrictions.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button that has a rerolling arrow players can reroll it into another upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the item's window, and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled can be exchanged for an item of level 1 similar to it. Rerolled items won't retain their level or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by its quality and tier. Rare items can be upgraded to the maximum level of six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to level nine. The upgrades to items are added to the base statistics of the item. This means that they won't grow more after a certain point.
