Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be purchased from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool with the help of button, which will display an image of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one usage and it's crucial to use them wisely. For instance it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
