Cot Bed Isn t As Tough As You Think
The Best Cot Beds For Your Little One
A restful night's sleep is important whether you're camping or visiting your family. Consider investing in one of our best cot beds, to ensure your baby is comfortable and safe (hopefully) sleeping comfortably.
With a slim aesthetic and easy-to-assemble frame the cot bed has all the hallmarks of an excellent design. It can also transform into a stylish toddler bed.
The Mamas and Papas Coxley
The Coxley the overall winner is packed with features that follow an elegantly handcrafted style. It features three adjustable cot bases and can be turned into an infant's bed. This will last your child for their first four years. It comes with two teething bars that soothe gums and prevent chewing on the cot sides.
The Coxley comes in the form of a complete nursery set which includes the stylish cotbed and an all-purpose dresser/changer. It also comes with double wardrobe. The dresser/change unit comes with a removable changing top that turns it from a handy baby changing station to an elegant dresser that can be filled with your child's favourite toys and keepsakes. The drawers can be customised to match your nursery's style.
Some cots can be extended to 10 years or more using expansion packs. These can be more affordable than buying a brand new cot or mattress.
The Coxley is a great option for cot beds. It's easy to assemble, well-made and looks great in any nursery. It's more expensive than other options and requires a standard-sized mattress, which you'll have to buy separately. It's worth checking out, however, because we think it's worth the cost for a durable design that looks incredibly sturdy.
The Silver Cross Westport
The Silver Cross Westport is an elegant and sleek choice that will complement any nursery. It's got warm oak details, soft curves and a minimalist design. Babies and parents will love it. The cot bed is designed to last until your child reaches four years old, and can be converted into a toddler bed using a simple extension kit. The matching dresser comes with an under-bed drawer, which is perfect for storing muslins and blankets as well as teething rails to keep your baby secure while they sleep.
Our test subject found this cot to be the best out of all the cots we tested in terms of design and ease of assembly with an Allen key that comes with it so you can start working right away. She also praised its strong construction and high-quality feel and said it felt like it was a "real piece of investment" and was an attractive design for any nursery.
It's more expensive than some of the other cot beds we've looked at however, it's still an affordable alternative that's worth the cost for its quality and durability. The sleigh's design is striking and will make any room where your baby's the center of the attention! The nifty extras, including a useful drawer and teething rails, can also cut down on the cost of purchasing separate furniture pieces in case you're on a tight budget. We would recommend purchasing an oval mattress instead of one of the standard UK sized one, to avoid stretching the slats out and causing discomfort for your baby. Aside from this our test-bearer didn't have any issues with the crib tots and cots thought it was a great buy.
The La Redoute Willox
As the name suggests the cot bed is the epitome of luxurious. It is constructed of solid slats of plywood and birch, and is designed to last. It has a French feel. It confirms to the French safety standards which means you can rest assured that your child will be safe and sound. We like the off-white finish but it's also available in a stunning grey-green color.
Our testers thought it was easy to put together, and also that it looked most luxurious of our selections. However, it is expensive - especially as you need to buy a mattress separately - and when you're on a tight budget, there are better alternatives there.
The Great Little Trading Company Little Wren Cotbed
If additional features are important for you then this cot bed might be the perfect option. It comes with a handy under-bed storage space and teething rails. You can also adjust the height of the base to three levels so that your child doesn't need to climb out of bed as they grow older.
This cot's only drawback is that it requires a mattress separately, which can increase the cost even higher than other models we've reviewed. Its premium aesthetic, ease of assembly and ability to grow with your child are all appealing though which makes it a worthy cost. Our testers thought this cot bed sales would be an excellent addition to any nursery.
The John Lewis Elementary
The John Lewis Elementary is a great choice for parents wanting a stylish contemporary frame that can stand the test of time. It's more expensive than other options however, it comes with a matching wardrobe and changing table so you can outfit your nursery all at once. Plus, it's easy to put together and comes with 3 mattress height positions so your baby can develop into it. It also has teething rails and an elegantly slidable drawer underneath so that you don't have to compromise your floor space.
It's important to note that you'll need a mattress separately for this cot bed, so make sure you budget accordingly. A good mattress can be purchased for less than PS100. This is not a huge cost. It might be difficult to find a mattress that fits the oval shape of the cot however, there are a variety of types that will fit.
Many parents opt for cot beds as they are a great value and give your child a comfortable place to sleep. Most cot beds are suitable for children from birth to about four years old age, however some can be transformed into toddler beds by purchasing an extension kit. You can find some of them in our list if you're searching for a cot mattress that lasts longer.
The Wooden Cot Bed
One of our favourite cot beds, this beautiful solid-wood model is well designed and extremely elegant. It also comes with a variety of useful extras, including a drawer beneath that is handy as well as three heights that can be adjusted. The crib is suitable for children from 4 years old to age (though some of them will need to be converted to a toddler bed by using a conversion kit sold separately).
The bed comes with a teddy bear canopy as well as teething bars that can be removed. Our tester said this cot bed was simple to put together, particularly since all pieces were clearly labeled and well-packed. It's also very small when compared to other cots we tried which makes it a great choice for smaller rooms.
It's not cheap Baby cots for sale (maps.google.Com.sl), costing PS599 with the mattress recommended included It's an investment piece that you could possibly utilize it for multiple children. It's beautiful in natural wood, but it also comes in three Scandi inspired finishes. It converts to a toddler's bed with ease (leaving three sides up for safety) and into a daybed/sofa once your child is ready to let go of the bars.
It's a great option for parents who want an adjustable sleeping solution that lasts as long as possible - our test with parents Becki claims that her Boori cot has lasted through three children, so it does seem to endure the test of time. The cot has a classic design that's suitable for a variety of homes. It's made of sustainably harvested Australian Araucaria wood and New Zealand Radiata. The cot comes with some handy extras such as a teddy-bear canopy teething rails, as well as the option to buy an reflux wedge.
