WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader mod upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool with the help of button, which will display an item's preview when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item level upgrade (Read the Full Content) and the current level of the item. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Upgraders for items are available at many locations, including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is true even if those items come from a different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced also, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complicated may require as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

Using these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item upgrader mod is at the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible level on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they have only one purpose. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
