Costs

The second is the cost of items needed to upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. The quantity of these items required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
It takes time to upgrade an item. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The stats that are the base of the upgraded item are calculated based on its new ilvl and other properties. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial statistics. In some cases upgrades can provide additional perks. These perks are available on a table.
In rare cases the upgrade will only replace the highest-costing benefits. Sometimes, the upgrader will make other changes to an item, for example, changing the damage type of a weapon or adding or removing an unwieldy or operational property. Success Rate
The basis for upgrading items is the chance of success, and as with every random system, there's the possibility that the upgrade won't succeed.
