Item Stats

Presently, all affixes are able to be rerolled by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button, which is accompanied by the arrows that circle. This will cost a certain amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges similar to other methods of rerolling.

Players can choose to upgrade an item with a specific stat, or reroll the affixes. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the level of the item, but every item is guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the range, unless it's an item that is unique or a God roll from a raid boss.

This is another thing that can be modified by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes or choosing which stats to increase. However, as with the base equipment, this would have to be performed on a per-item basis, and the interface for item comparison wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the odds of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops, and the intensity of the properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It simply gives players a chance to upgrade their gear in earlier waves and is thus more beneficial in early game runs than in later ones, as most players prioritize more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level and can be further increased by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, armor, and shields can be created or spawned using the Luck property, which has a default value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck or to boost the luck of an item up to 140.

Furthermore there are certain items, like the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be bought from the shop, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to boost their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.
