World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade it could increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its stats increase in value. The value is the sum of all of its upgraded benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high depending on the upgrader you choose and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to how many perks have to be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.

It can also be used as a gating requirement when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players are able to wear since PvP is not available at a lower level. Players can view their average item level in their character sheet.

The level of an item can help players evaluate the potency of gear when they decide to buy or sell. It's an indicator of the item's condition and quality. The level of the item can be used to compare items when looking at a vendor's inventory.

The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the item's full description, including ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are a few theories about how the calculation of the item's level is made. One theory is that the level is a number derived from a formula that determines the amount an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different worth, and also that gems in sockets increase the item's overall value. This can lead to an item's ilvl calculated, which is often very close to Blizzards actual level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor that determines the ilvl of an item, because the level of the area the item is dropped into can change the value of its stats, such as by adding an amount to its haste rating or crit rating. Items dropped in higher-level instances will have a higher ilvl.

Item Stats

Stats on an item upgrading are a significant component of what determines the value of an item upgrading for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat modifications of weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then boosted by the player's level.

The upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, whereas an item with rare tiers will be upgraded several times with higher prices.

Affixes are another way to change an item's stats. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to give items additional damage or special capabilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs) or to differentiate them by naming them.

All affixes are being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold and other items that can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as the other rerolling options.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which of the available stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However each item will include at least one stat in that range unless they are an item that is unique, or the item is a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the attaches, or select which stats to enhance. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item basis and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats gained or lost at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the probability of obtaining items, the properties that are created by loot and the strength of these properties. It does not, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives the player a possibility to obtain better equipment in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in the initial game run than in later ones, since most players prefer higher weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each item level and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned using the Luck property, which has a default value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to boost the existing Luck of the item up to 140.

Certain items, like the Hollow-infused weapon can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any skill that deals damage by 5%. These items can be purchased in the shops or made by using the appropriate ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chances of success for an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it does not work.

The success rate of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to how much success rates can be increased and the probability of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%.

The luck of an item can influence the success of an upgrade. All items have an overall success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases this chance by five percent.

The item upgrade - Learn Alot more - overlays are rendered above items in the inventory. This can cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
