9 Things Your Parents Teach You About Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft item level upgrade Upgrades
Upgrades to items can be used to improve the stats of a particular item. Depending on the upgrade type, it may raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.
Item Level
When an item is upgraded, its stats increase in value. This is the sum of all its upgraded advantages (attack, magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader and what type of upgrade you choose to perform. This is due to the variety of perks that must be modified to upgrade an item.
It is also used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players are able to wear as PvP is restricted at lower levels. The average level of the item is listed on the character sheet.
When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the levels of the item upgrader mod. It's a measure of the item's condition and its quality. Comparing items from the inventory of a seller can be done by using the item's level.
The level of the item can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full item description, including its value. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are various theories about how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory suggests that the item level is determined by an equation that determines the worth of an item's stats actually are. It is based on the fact that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in sockets boost the value of the item upgrader kit. This process can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is typically close to Blizzard's real level of the item.
However, this isn't the only factor that affects an item's ilvl, since the level of the area the item dropped in can alter the value of its stats, for example by adding an additional level to its haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more value than items dropped in lower-level instances.
Item Stats
Item stats are a big component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of them in a variety of ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to one weapon, and to encourage players to explore other weapons. The base stats on a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat mods which are then increased by the player's skill.
Upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas items with rare tiers can be upgraded many times at higher prices.
Affixes can also be used to change an item's stats. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can do things like give the item extra damage, or give a specific ability to the item (such as reviving dead or cutting down the cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding an exclusive name to the item.
All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. It will cost a set amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges similar to other rerolling methods.
Players can upgrade an item to specific stats or reroll attaches. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the level of the item, but all items are guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within that range, unless it's a unique item or a God roll from a boss of a raid.
This is another thing that can be modified by adding an option to upgrade item the equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or selecting which stats to increase. But as with base equipment, this would have to be performed on a per-item level, and the interface for comparing items wouldn't show all possible stats that were gained or lost at the same time.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the odds of item discoveries and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade their gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in the initial game run as opposed to later ones, as most players prioritize greater weapon scaling and defense over damage gains.
In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading that increase with each level of the item. They can also be enhanced by using anti-materials like a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons come with a default Luck value of 40. These items can be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant a further +40 Luck or to increase the existing Luck of an item up to 140.
Certain items, like the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that is able to deal damage by 5percent. These items are available in the shop, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.
When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading the item, and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%..
The success of an item upgrade is also affected by the luck of that item. All items have a base success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases that chance by 5%.
The item upgrade overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This could block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the item upgrader, simply click for source, CORE client config.
