WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using an button, which will show a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item upgrades and the current level of the item. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. After an Item level Upgrade (Yxhsm.net) has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and a chance to obtain a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through a variety of means that are both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. Once an upgrade has been completed to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item upgrade level will cost less. This is true even if those items are from another set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade item is reduced as well, but is only available after certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests depending on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can then be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you can locate, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to avail the account-wide discount if all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
