How To Outsmart Your Boss In Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it is upgraded.
Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the item to the upgrade (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.
The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a substantial chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as you can to level 15.
In the final game you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values can enhance a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs, and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
Using Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrading system allows players to improve the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item upgrader mod is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This can be a downside, as the item can become more expensive even if you do not need it.
item upgrades (more..) can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be repeated often, as it can waste a lot of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state and the player having to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For instance an item upgrader kit of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
