WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with higher variance due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item upgrade from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which displays a preview of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the Best item upgrade and the current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with some new features added. After a player has upgraded to a certain level of Best item upgrader for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same Item Level Upgrade (Http://120.Zsluoping.Cn/) level, will cost less. This is true even if the items are from an entirely different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

Players have a number of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used to purchase gear of a specific rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, when an item reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest possible level for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one usage, so it's important to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to avail the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
