1. Roomba Q5 Pro
The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic hoovers vacuums we've examined. They are equipped with motors that are top of the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. Like other iRobots with premium features (including the most powerful model) they utilize intelligent mapping to design precise floorplans that avoid obstacles like cords and furniture leg. The robots also have Carpet Boost, a feature that increases its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests of floors with no carpet, and they are particularly adept in removing dog hair. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For instance, the Q5's navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to getting hung up on shoes and socks, and is unable to navigate rooms with a lot of people well in our tests. During tests, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop in the market to clean the entire house with 66 percent of its battery left. The RX3 is more sophisticated than its price would suggest. It is a great job vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with only one pad and a rotating motion which is cleaner than the majority mop cleaners for robots that we've examined. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured application and an auto-emptying, washable base.
The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate a mapping run which collects information about your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map.
