Your Family Will Thank You For Getting This Twin Stroller
Best Twin Stroller For Newborns
A second hand double buggy stroller is vital if you are expecting twins or have two children of the same age. The best ones offer numerous ways for your children to ride such as side-by-side seating, and the ability to attach a rider's board.
The Bugaboo Donkey 5 Mono is Lauren Ro's favourite stroller. It can be adapted to your family's needs seamlessly. It can fit two infant car seats and a toddler seat which makes it an ideal choice for twins from birth.
Bugaboo Donkey
This is the top double stroller for families looking for a stylish and attractive side-by-side double buggy from birth stroller. It is a bit larger than other Bugaboo strollers however it feels sturdy and built to last. It has a handlebar which can be adjusted to extend and retract easily. It has a decent reach, so my husband who is 6'1", can easily push it, even when he is fully loaded.
The seats are comfortable and can be positioned so that one child is in front of the other or have children facing each the other. They can also recline in a different way from each other. The canopies are huge, covering both seat fabrics if desired. However, they don't offer adequate ventilation, so they could be like a tiny oven on hot days. They do not have a peek-a-boo window to view the children.
This stroller features an unique feature that allows it to grow with your family and you. It can be converted from one seat (Mono Mode) to the double stroller With snack tray side by side stroller. It is the only cheap double buggy stroller convertible that can do this. It can even be used in conjunction with an additional bassinet or car seat for babies.
It is a breeze to use on smooth surfaces, and it can handle stairs and slopes with ease. The only issue is that it can be difficult to navigate in crowded shops and restaurants. It is difficult to fold the seat down, particularly if it is attached. It is still compact and fits through most doors.
In mono mode, there's a storage bin in front of the front seats. This is ideal for shopping and other supplies. The main storage basket under the seats is large and can hold up to 100 lbs. This is more than any stroller on our list!
Uppababy Vista v2
This is one of the best twin strollers designed for new borns. It is compatible with a variety of bassinets and infant car seats (adapters are sold separately) and can be used as a double stroller with infant car seat stroller right out of the box. The Vista Upper and Vista Lower adapters let you use two infant car seats at the same time.
The V2 is a more refined version of the original Vista. The toddler seat is now raised by about half an inch, the footrest is larger and the canopy has an extra fabric extension that zips out. The harness is also modernized in that it does not require re-threading. This makes it easier to adjust.
The stroller is equipped with large wheels (8" in front and 11.5" in back) and a strong suspension system that can take on any terrain. The front wheels are rubber and are ideal for navigating rocks, gravel and cobblestones. The rear wheels have more tread to conquer grassy hills and sidewalks.
A child's bicycle can be connected to the front of a stroller. This is a great option for parents who don't want to use a car seat. If you have a child who's old enough to stand up then the Vista stroller can fit another child in with its piggyback board accessory.
Vista Vista is simple to use and install. It does take some time to remove all the protective packaging. The instructions are easy to follow, and there is a YouTube video in case you need assistance understanding the steps.
Thule Urban Glide 3
The Thule Urban Glide 3 is the most recent version of the popular stroller that is designed to attract modern families that prioritize style, sustainability, and adventure. It features exciting upgrades, including a built-in leg rest and updated reclined seat that provides unbeatable comfort for children on long jogs and walks. Its sleek and agile design is also enhanced to allow for better maneuverability.
It is incredibly light, making it simple to drive and speedy to accelerate on the road. Its suspension can handle abrupt changes in the surface (like grass to pavement) easily and the large wheels offer plenty of traction on even the roughest of terrain. It is able to easily climb kerbs and turn in tight spaces, like city streets. It's even a breeze to navigate narrow sidewalks and overcrowded parks.
The brand new Urban Glide 3 is a superior jogger that offers parents an abundance of comfort and convenience. The oversized canopy provides excellent sun protection, has a convenient peekaboo and a top-quality harness system and a handbrake that's perfectly adjusted. It has plenty of storage space, including pockets in the seat and a large cargo bag that can hold up to 15 lbs.
This Thule jogger comes with a bassinet for strolling infants, and a double version that can fit two children. It also has car seat adapters, so you can use the infant carrier of your child. It also comes with an one-handed folding system to help you transport it or store. It's also a green choice, using solution-dyed fabrics in its black color options to minimize the use of water.
Cortina Together
Cortina Together is designed for families that are growing and provides parents with the option of seating to accommodate the preferences and needs of every child. The two stroller seats of the double stroller have reclined backrests and canopies that are completely independent. The seats are also designed to accommodate Chicco's KeyFit or KeyFit 30, the #1 baby car seat that is rated the highest in both the front and rear seat. (Car seat sold separately).
A large, zipper-access basket at the rear provides ample storage space for your gear. The handle is padded to allow for dad or mom. The tandem double stroller's suspension and wheels ensure a smooth ride on all types of terrain, and the one-touch rear brakes that are linked and have a toe-tap activated make stopping easy.
In our Strollers & Multiples laboratory tests, Cortina Together received high scores for its ease of use. This metric is based on the ease with which it is for you to fold and set up the stroller. It also reflects the ease with which it is to open and close the snack trays, engage and disengage brakes, and then lift the folded stroller and carry it like a trunk.
This model isn't perfect. First, it's heavy. It weighs 36.6 pounds when fully loaded and puts it closer to the extreme end of our metrics. In addition, it has limited visibility in the back seat when a car seat is installed. The front tray release isn't always easy to use, particularly after long-term use. Despite these issues we still consider this to be a great stroller for your family.
Jeep Double Stroller
Jeep Destination Ultralight Side x Side Double Stroller - an affordable, lightweight stroller ideal for families with 2 children. Its front swivel-lock wheels rotate to move on flat surfaces and lock for stability on bumpy surfaces which makes it easy to travel wherever you want to go. It comes with an umbrella that folds down compactly and can be closed in seconds. It also stands upright to make transporting it easier. Its aluminum frame is light, foam handles and carrying strap make it one of the easiest to lift double strollers in our tests.
This tandem stroller features reclined seats that can be independently adjusted for maximum comfort. The large canopy provides UPF 50 protection and also comes with a peekaboo view to make it easy for monitoring. We wish the canopy was vented to let in more airflow however. We also weren't thrilled the fact that the cup holder is quite high on the frame, meaning you'll have to bend down to reach it.
In our tipping test the Jeep fell over with only a 39-degree angle, which is above average for a double stroller. It's a little heavier and has more storage space for the price. The seats and handle are also well-padded.
The stroller is a versatile model with three modes it can be used in: wagon (just for things) and the jogger (with two 5-point safety harnesses for kids) and car seat mode. It can fit one infant car seat, but pediatricians recommend waiting until your child is six months old before running with them and 1 year old before taking them on rough terrain. It is available in black and comes with a limited warranty. Jenni Gritters has been a journalist and parent for over a decade.
