Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE Damage.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor.
