Contrary to other cribs that are bedside, the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans due to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it is not attached to the bed. It comes with a variety of wonderful features designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.
It is important to remember that this crib won't last as long once your baby turns six months old. You will have to purchase a larger cot. But, in general Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she particularly liked its elegant design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was a reasonable price for a cot featuring these innovative features. She liked the way it was positioned in her bedroom and thought its grey color would fit the majority of modern homes. However, she did point that it's not a great idea to rock a young baby because it can set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It has a drop-side rail that is able to be easily lowered to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or forcing them out of bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.
We love the fact that it's made of soft fabrics with mesh sides that breathe, which aids in airflow and ease of use. It is available in oak or charcoal with a variety of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with most decor styles. Anna discovered that it was sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs clicked into place and the zippers were secure to ensure safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number if you have any problems.
The CoZee crib is equipped with all the features you'd expect from a crib to your bed, including the ability to connect it to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system. The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive models, but it is packed with lots of features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or a standalone crib and is suitable from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel using a brand new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings and legs that retract to place under any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access to the side panel that can be lowered and raised with just one push of one button. This was particularly useful in the evening when feeding time was over, since they could reach in and pick up their baby without waking them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel by it's own, however this is not recommended, because it increases the chance that your child will get out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the parent's bed correctly. This feature can be very beneficial for peace of mind if you breastfeed and require frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers thanks to the legs that can be telescopic. It also has a tilting function for reflux babies and a rocking mode to help them sleep after feeding. It's also very spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects, despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's heavier than other side-sleepers, however it's very portable and can be moved from room to room easily. It's small enough to be able to fit into its travel bag when not in use, which is a plus in the event that you have to transport it. The only negative our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't move as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see your baby from your bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're in search of a bedside cots crib that will expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It is designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed, but can also convert into a chic cot when your baby is ready. It's ideal for feeding your baby at night and for strengthening your bond with your baby bedside co sleeper.
Contrary to other models of bedside cot wooden cribs like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The dual-view mesh side panels and hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress maximize airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. The gentle incline helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby or comfort them at night.
The cot conversion kit is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us around an hour to put together and was fairly simple to put together. The only drawback was the absence of captions in writing on some of the pictures which made it difficult to understand some of the steps. However, it was a simple process and the quality of the materials used was high.
In the co sleeper bedside cot-sleeping position, we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, since it allows them to comfortably reach out to their newborn for comfort and feeding without having to climb out of their bed. It's also great for mothers who prefer not to go through the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or putting their baby down for a nap.
The gliding motion was found to be very helpful in lulling babies to sleep after feedings at midday or night. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a major selling point for our exhausted moms who took part in our tests. While it doesn't rock or come with extra features such as a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functional features are a welcome addition our top crib reviews for bed.
