The best robot vacuum that mops robot vacuum cleaner uk hoover (find out here)

The best automatic vacuum cleaner robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention, and will leave your floors clean. Its price is affordable and its high-end functions (such as dirt detectors) are both positives.

Check your robot's brushes frequently for tangled debris and hair. Wash them when necessary. Some models can also self-empty the dust bin on board and then deposit it in an additional bin located at the base. This reduces the amount fine dust released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive sibling, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have test. They are equipped with top-of-the-line motors which can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobot models (including the top pick) they employ smart mapping technology to create precise floor plans and eliminate home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also feature Carpet Boost, a feature that increases its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests of floors with no carpet and are especially adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they have some flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to get stuck on socks and shoes, and it couldn't navigate rooms with lots of people well in our tests. It also doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of an area.

It's still a good value particularly if your office or home has a lot of bare floors and you want to save some money. Additionally, it's quiet and can be used while you're at work, or school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle, however. And, if you need to, you can switch the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into an elegant, compact package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it quick to clean and efficient in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with an impressive suction system and self-emptying bin. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, but it lags behind some competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performing combination vacuum and mop uses advanced sensor technology to stay clear of obstacles and pet waste, and it also learns the layout of your home over time for more efficient cleaning. You can alter its cleaning schedule and set up zones using the app that is well-designed. Its battery life is average compared to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted area, you can instruct it to take off and extend its mops. This will help prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm can also be used to reach under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to sweep the entire house and had 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a good cleaning job on various rooms and floors with various kinds of flooring, including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it was nimbly avoiding fake dog socks, turds, shoes and cables.

It's a little more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically emptys into its base, and supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming it, something we've not seen on other robot vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba than the competition's compact models, this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive designs in our tests. iRobot's latest flagship model also is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that scored a perfect 10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can completely self-refill and empty its base station and boasts an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, offering a simple mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a problem in mornings before work, or in the evening when you are trying to sleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are similarly capable and look better. If you're willing to live some more volume and some extra cost it's a efficient two-in-one device that should satisfy most people.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features to help you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device, similar to Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically emptys the bin of the vacuum, refills the water tank, and washes and dry mop pads.

The smart robot employs a combination of LIDAR and structured light to create the floor plan and detect obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its more expensive competitors. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time hazard detection however, it wasn't reliable in our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to get the job done. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and also adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on how dirty they tend to be.

For bigger homes it's worth looking for models that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot vacuum cleaners best to clean a particular area of your house using the app or voice controls. A stairway mode is useful if you own a large furniture. Also the recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum take over exactly where it left off is ideal for busy families.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more advanced than its price suggests. It does a stellar job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad and a reciprocating motion that is more efficient than most mop cleaners for robots that we've tested. It's also self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app guides you through an initial mapping session that collects data about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you mark on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or create an automatic spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize the most soiled areas for better performance. The app also provides access to many features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

It can also reach corners and under furniture better because its shape is more rectangular. It also has strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for hair of pets. You can also set up a spot clean that thoroughly cleans a particular area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek, cheaper alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed to resemble adorable eyes. It's good at vacuuming but is more prone to be caught by low thresholds and is more noisy than the other top robot vacuums we've tried. It also has a less intuitive app and a small base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.
