Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

Leveling
