Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives an increase in the linearity of a given stat.

Players can recycle six items at once to gauge the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling an item increases with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade items in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished through a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or by increasing an item's rarity or mark level. Many items can also be reforged to boost their value.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in all over the world, as well as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The main way to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade item components which are the items that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has slots to upgrade, and many require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components give specific bonuses while others provide an overall bonus.

There are many types of upgrade elements in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, are able to be placed in any type of equipment and offer less bonuses than those that are type specific. Glyphs can only be placed in gathering tools, and provide various benefits, from increasing the speed of the item's collection to providing extra crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. This will display an overview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected stats will be after the upgrade, along with any materials or components required. If you don't possess enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will say Blocked.

The amount of upgrade components required for a specific item can be seen in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The price of an upgrade increases as the level and rarity of the item increase. However, you can reduce this cost by purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them with other players.

The majority of weapons can be upgraded with a prefix, like a rune or an insignia. Some can be improved by adding a suffix. These upgrades include an adjective in the item's name like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey visual information. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity in the brain. The animation of glyphs resembles body language, making them more effective in communicating a message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs also evoke a sense of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph has a range of values it can increase a stat's value according to the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an artifact. This is the maximum value that the glyph can improve a stat by and not the amount it actually increases the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you are in awe of it.

Most upgrade components inserted into items cannot be repaired or replaced without dismantling the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to gear yet, you can transfer the item to a different piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove any glyph with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is located will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved with the glyph shards.

When you remove an item after putting a glyph on it, the shards that are part of that glyph will disappear. You can also add an inscription on your equipment to make it more valuable. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and be distributed slowly to the wearer instead of all at once. This is helpful for players who are taking a lot of damage from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes they use on their equipment and weapons, and can be found in various ways like mistery boxes or as rare drops from skulled creatures, or even from killing bosses. Reroll tokens give the player a new random affix that is usually superior to the one they had before. Reroll tokens can also be used to upgrade weapon stats to cause more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of item upgrades, but they can be upgraded. When you press the "upgrade button", you can recycle the recycled items. This will alter the layout of the item's window and let up to six items be selected to recycle. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its level, therefore higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

In addition to reroll tokens, players can make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls will roll a % chance of a weapon's traits. If it scores higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower the weapon remains as is. Weapons can be repeatedly rolled up to three times.

Rerolls are a good option for upgrading an item, however, players should be aware that it will lower the overall ilvl of the weapon by the number of rerolls needed in order to increase the weapon to its ultimate ilvl. This lowering effect is most effective with Diadems and rings that don't have alternatives to raise their ilvls.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It would be fairer to let people pay for it with cash or food items which would allow players to make adjustments to their builds without having to spend too much time. The developers have no plans to implement paid rerolls at this stage in the game's development. They plan to add the ability for players to alter their race in the future.

Leveling

There are several ways to upgrade an item upgrader mod. The first is to increase the upgrade amount, which increases the value of upgrading any stat. The second is to increase the upgrade effect, which increases the damage or heal of a particular stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item will maintain its iLevel, but will be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.

It is crucial to keep in mind that upgrades are random. In most cases the chance of a better roll will come from the glyphs, however there are also chances for higher or more special rolls. Additionally the iLevel of an upgrade will be determined by the type of item and should you upgrade a unique or rare item to an exceptional item type you has a chance to gain an iLevel that is higher.

Upgrades can be expensive Particularly if you're upgrading gear from the standard track to legendary. The price will depend on the item's iLevel base and the number of upgrade levels it comes with. Certain upgrade tracks require crests to reach the next level.

If you're fortunate the upgraded item could get to the top of its upgrade track and unlock an additional benefit. This will provide a significant boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect changes with each upgrade level. In general, the upgrade effect is increased by +3.

Depending on the item's base level and its upgrade process, the iLevel for the upgraded item will change as well. For instance an item that has been upgraded from being a rare or exclusive item to an extraordinary one is likely to gain the Enhanced Defence of the new base item.
