The 10 Scariest Things About Upgrade Item
What is an Upgrade Item in Genshin Impact?
Upgrade items are a specific kind of item that can ensure that Pokemon evolve. They are obtained by spinning Pokestop photo discs, and sometimes as rewards for events related to evolution.
They can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets, weapons, or gathering tools to provide additional effects or stats. Some upgrades have a cosmetic effect.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armors, and weapons to provide an extra effect or unique feature when the equipment is used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, earned as rewards, crafted or dropped. Upgrade components must be higher than the item they are added to. They also require that the item has an upgrade slot. Upgrade components can be swapped with other upgrade components except for glyphs or inscriptions, which can only be added or removed freely.
The most commonly used upgrade components are gems, infusions and enrichments. Gems can be added to any type of equipment and provide a smaller bonus than other upgrade components. Infusions and enrichments can only be used on non-amulet equipment and some legendary equipment. You can recover them from the equipment that they are located in by using an Upgrade Extractor Device or by salvaging them using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage tool.
Other upgrade items such as glyphs and inscriptions are able to be removed or added to gathering tools. They can offer a variety of benefits, including increasing the gather speed or adding more materials. Inscriptions can also alter the name of an item, such as changing a sword to be called "Fiery Sword" by adding the Sword Pommel of Fortitude inscription or adding the Rune of Minor Vigor suffix to make it 'Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor'.
Glyphs
Glyphs symbolize a concept or idea by using character symbols. For instance, a symbol could be an icon or a drawing of a heart or flag. These symbols can also be used to create an entire visual language. A glyph can also have a standard code that is used across fonts to identify it. This code is referred to as a Unicode.
A glyph's shape dictates to what Primary Stats and Secondary Stats can be added. Some glyphs will have both Primary and Secondary Stat bonuses, while others have only one or the other. The glyphs with both Primary and secondary stats will add to the stats of the whole unit, while ones that have only one Primary Stat bonus multiply the stats.
It is simple to use glyphs. Click and hold on the text to open the Glyphs Panel, then select the glyph you want to use. You can also see a list of all the available glyphs by selecting View All Glyphs. The glyphs will be displayed in order according to their Unicode code. You can select the one you wish to insert.
When you create a new glyph set, it is saved along with other InDesign preferences in the form of a file that is shared. The glyphs do not belong to any specific document and can be edited by selecting Edit Glyphs Set from the Glyphs Panel menu. You can also specify whether the glyphs will remember their fonts if you insert them in text.
Rare glyphs are essential for your build, and you should start farming them as soon as possible. They are available in World Tier 3 Dungeons as well as Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. They are much easier to collect than the difficult shards you can obtain from crafting materials, and they can be a much more valuable upgrade for your equipment. Moreover, the fact that they can be used to a variety of items means you can boost the damage and defense of your gear without spending too many shards.
