Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same upgrade item level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure what can be improved upon an update.

The process of upgrading an item level upgrade can be costly and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the endgame you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Leveling

The item upgrading (Highly recommended Site) system lets players increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is often referred to as "upping". Failures will cause the item to go to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like the chance to crit attack damage, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine.
