World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For example an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of an item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete or even break when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item level upgrade.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

In the final game you'll often discover that the best way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When the player upgrades a piece of equipment it will be replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage in that it could make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like dolphins). The item upgrader can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

item upgrades upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to the value of the base item. For example, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade item. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
