Now That You ve Purchased Item Upgrade ... Now What
WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. The item upgrader mod used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of The button will display a preview of an item upgrader kit's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the item upgrading slot and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item upgrades is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.
Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a specific item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will cost less even in the event that they are part of a different gear set.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, depending on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it does bring some changes to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
Another important change is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them wisely. For instance, it's a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the best gear you have available and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with top-quality gear.
