World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade of an item can be used to improve the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it can boost an item's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a set amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its base stats improve in value. This value is the sum of all of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the variety of perks that must be changed in order to upgrade an item.

The level of an item is a widely used measure of power, and can be found on all tooltips of items. It also serves to limit the amount of PvP gear players are able to wear, since PvP is limited at a lower level. Players can view their average level of items on their character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell equipment players can evaluate the level of an item. It's a useful gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it will be capable of causing. Comparing items from the inventory of a vendor is possible using the level of the item.

The item level can be checked by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the full description of the item, as well as its value. It can also be located by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are several theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory is that the item level is a numerical value derived from a formula that calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It considers the fact that different perks have different values, and also that sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This can lead to an item upgrader mod's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzards actual item level.

This isn't the only thing that affects the value of an item. The location of where the item was dropped can change its stats. For example it can add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher value.

Item Stats

Item stats can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game uses a variety of them in different ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat modifications of weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's skill.

Item upgrades add to that by boosting certain stats on the item level upgrade. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. For example, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with the rare tiers will be upgraded several times at higher prices.

Affixes are another way to change an item's stats. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes are used to provide items with extra damage or other special abilities (such as the ability to revive dead or reduce cooling downs), or to differentiate them by putting a name on them.

All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and other items which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.

Players can upgrade an item to a specific stat or reroll attaches. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However each item will contain at least one stat in that range unless they are an exclusive item or a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could be altered by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or choosing which stats to enhance. Similar to the base equipment, this must be done per item, and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the likelihood of finding items as well as the properties that appear on loot drops and the strength of the properties. It does not, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives the player a chance to acquire better equipment earlier in the game and is therefore more useful in the initial game run than in later ones, since most players prefer greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also boost the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall chances of upgrading, which increase with each new level of item. These can also be increased with the use of anti-materials, such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor, and weapons have an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) for a further +40 luck or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.

Furthermore there are certain items, like the Hollow infused weapon can be used to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be purchased in the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade or to prevent players from losing their item in the event that it is not successful.

The rate of success of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading the item and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limits to how much the success rates can be improved and the chance of an upgrade failing can't be greater than 100%..

The success of an upgrade is also affected by the Luck of that item. Each item has an average success rate of 25 percent and each item with Luck increases this chance by 5percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects may be obstructed by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
