Item upgrading allows players to improve their weapons and gear with new affixes that boost its base stats or adding additional perks. To upgrade items, players must have the item in their inventory and access the kiln.

Items that have weak bases, like rings, can be upgraded into a stronger base. Items with strong bases, such as eth Titans have little changes in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, weapons and gathering tools. They give you an attribute benefit, or extra effect, while the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, retrieved in loot from enemies, or received from chests and missions. Some upgrades additionally have special cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level before they are upgraded.
