Why Item Upgrade Is Still Relevant In 2024

The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats, and sometimes increases its other features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations applied.

The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capability in PvP and/or add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more marketable than the perfect non-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item upgrades, such as armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced with another of the same kind, but with different bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. They don't keep the original level of the item, and any resources wasted aren't rewarded.

The surviving players can acquire tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchased from the market for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute on an item that could include increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.

Players can roll equipment in three aspects: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage that melee and weapons, while spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health.

Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to higher quality. To make them, you'll need an upgrade level token for rerolling. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces, remains on the space till the next Success is to be rerolled. This helps to prevent the waste of upgrades.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened they show a complete description and an icon for the relevant appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of coins.

During a run, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of the choice of Franchise Cards. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop sells to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and accessories. These are special stones that can increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. These stones are also available to players who sign daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment, players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. The menu will be displayed that shows the item upgrading's current status and what it will be after being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.

After deciding on the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. When the requirements have been fulfilled, the player may then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. Depending on the rarity of the item the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process is also safe and doesn't impact the item's durability. This makes it an ideal way for players to get an advantage in battle without straining their bank account. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded item onto an entirely new piece of equipment.

The process of getting Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be a challenge for novice players. There are a variety of methods to obtain them, including contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or getting them from the reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. Additionally, players can cut down the higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is a feature that lets you increase the stats of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The Upgrade Item materials will be used up and the Best item upgrade will be upgraded to an upgraded level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item is attained.

Items that have upgraded base stats display a blue icon in their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components cannot be stacked against each other, and can only be added to a single item at one time. Each upgrade component requires a certain number of items and a minimum level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add an item upgrader to be upgraded. On the right, previews show what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow once a player has sufficient materials will initiate the upgrade process.

An item of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

Once an item reaches the highest level, upgrades will no longer be available for it. In the same way, once an item reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to give an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be changed by acquiring new ones. However, this will destroy the old upgrade.

Requirements

The upgrades to items allow players the ability to boost certain stats of weapons and armor they currently own. The requirements to upgrade an item differ depending on the type of item however, you'll generally require Dilithium and a number Upgrade tokens.

Upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity. Some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can increase the item's stats.

For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and also gives an additional 20% chance of blocking. The DPS "Wildfire", on the other hand increases damage to weapons.

Certain items benefit from upgrading not so much for their improved stats and more because it lets players get the most value from a perfect roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and can be worth as much as 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.

The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

If you've fulfilled the conditions for upgrading the game will put the item in your inventory and the progress bar will update to show how close to completing the upgrade. You can also check on the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
