WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through item level upgrade, mozillabd.Science, upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which will display an image of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available in many places, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon as well as the chance to obtain a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades are acquired via several methods which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a certain level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to that level will cost less even if they belong to an entirely different set of gear.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item upgrader kit level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

First, you should know that Crests are only available to equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through content at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade items level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you can locate, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
