Why Is There All This Fuss About Item Upgrade
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrading gear increases its base stats and sometimes increases its other features. The value of these upgrades is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations can be applied.
For instance, the premium shield for racial discrimination Razortail is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorb ability in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradable than the non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you reroll a purchased item, such as a weapon, armor or ring. The item is swapped for a different one similar item, with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they do not retain the same level as the original item and any resources wasted aren't refunded.
The survivors can get Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of a piece equipment, for example increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll their equipment into three attributes that include physical power, magical power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks while spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give players additional health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available such as upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade takes an item level upgrade to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The marker for rerolling, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces remains on the space until the next success is to be rerolled. This is a way to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes that appear at the start of every preparation phase. They can be opened using Interact by grabbing on to them. Once they're opened, they display a full description and an icon for the relevant appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of coins.
In the end, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool when you run. This affects the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers to reroll and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the quality of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. Moreover, players can obtain these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". This will display a list of the item's current level and what it will be after being upgraded. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
After deciding on the item to upgrade the user must choose the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. When the requirements are met, the player can then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. Depending on the Best item upgrade's rarity, the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.
The upgrade process is safe and doesn't impact the durability of the item. It's a great way for players who want to gain an advantage in battle but don't want to burden their wallets. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item to an entirely new piece of equipment.
For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to acquire these stones, such as signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Additionally, players can cut down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets players boost the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item with upgrade materials and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade components will be used up and the item will be upgraded to an upgrade to a higher level. This process can continue until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items with upgraded base stats will display an icon of blue in their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components cannot be stacked with one another, and can only be added to a single item at a time. Furthermore each upgrade component will require a specific amount of items to be applied in addition to a minimum amount for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the first is where players can add a piece of equipment to be upgraded, while the right side shows a glimpse of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. When players have enough materials by pressing the yellow arrow, it will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each upgrade, the stats of the base item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item has reached its highest level, upgrades will no longer be available to it. Likewise, once an item is on the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be put into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is equipped. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing or traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped by acquiring new ones. However, this could destroy the old upgrade.
Requirements
Upgrades to items enable players to increase certain stats of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item vary depending on the type of item but generally, you'll need Dilithium and a number of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Item upgrade components can be incorporated into equipment sets and weapons for additional effects or to increase the quality item. The upgrades can be acquired through a variety of sources in the game, including crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors, looted from bosses and raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is added to an item, it can't be removed and substituted without restriction, however the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped without restrictions.
Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components include additional modifiers that could further enhance the stats of the item.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and also gives an additional 20% chance to block. The DPS "Wildfire", on the other hand increases damage to weapons.
Some items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats and more for the fact that it allows players to gain the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
When you select an upgrade component to slot into an item, the game will display a pop-up window that shows the requirements required for that item. This includes the type of item upgrades (either Weapon or Armor), the tier of the item as well as the Upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
Once you've satisfied the conditions for upgrading, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will update to show how close you are to completing it. You can also check the status of an upgrade item by going to any item upgrader NPC.
